Acusphere, Inc.
Acusphere, a specialty pharmaceutical company headquartered in Watertown, is using a $2,000,000 Emerging Technology Fund loan from MassDevelopment to renovate and equip a manufacturing facility in Tewksbury. Acusphere plans to use the facility to manufacture a drug designed to enhance ultrasound for purposes of detecting coronary heart disease. Operations at the new facility have the potential to generate hundreds of local jobs over the next several years. |
