MassDevelopment offers a special loan program to help non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations purchase and install technology equipment. TechDollars offers:
- Loans from $25,000 to $250,000
- 100% of cost of purchase of new or used telecommunications and information technology equipment; software; and related installation costs
To be eligible for TechDollars financing, the:
- Borrower must be a Massachusetts 501(c)(3) organization
- Equipment purchased must be installed in facilities located in Massachusetts
Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc. (BAMSI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families in Massachusetts. BAMSI provides a range of health and social services including counseling, education, outreach, and employment and housing assistance. Needing to upgrade their electronic health record (EHR) systems to comply with recent federal legislation, BAMSI turned to MassDevelopment for help. MassDevelopment provided a $250,000 TechDollars loan which BAMSI will use to purchase and install new technology equipment and software. The IT upgrade will bring BAMSI’s EHR systems in compliance with regulations and improve the organization’s ability to continue serving the community.
