The following opportunities are now available:


1550 Main Street (Springfield, MA) Phase 2 Renovations Project – Invitation for Bids

MassDevelopment invites sealed bids from “general building construction” contractors and Metal Fabrications; Waterproofing, Damp-proofing & Caulking; Glass & Glazing; Tile; Acoustical Tile; Painting; Plumbing; Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning; and Electrical sub-contractors for the “1550 Main Phase 2 Renovations Project” at the building located at 1550 Main Street, Springfield, MA. Work includes all labor, materials and supervision necessary to renovate interior and exterior elements of the Building, including the atrium, lobby, plaza and Building exterior.

The Invitation for Bids (“IFB”), including Plans/Specifications, is available after 12 PM on February 10, 2010. $100 per IFB set refundable deposit is required and must be in the form of a bank check payable to “Massachusetts Development Finance Agency.” A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled at the Building on February 17, 2010, at 11 AM. Sub bids are due and will be publicly opened at MassDevelopment’s Boston office on March 3, 2010 at 2 PM.  General bids are due and will be publicly opened at MassDevelopment’s Boston office on March 17, 2010, at 2 PM.

Devens Environmental Services Request for Qualifications

MassDevelopment at Devens seeks Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from Professional Engineering/Environmental Firms to provide environmental engineering and science services to support development with its obligations under the Fort Devens Redevelopment Administrative Consent Order (ACO) and Covenant Not to Sue.

These services include senior advisory/LSP services, project environmental engineers/LSP services, environmental permitting, preparation of site remediation scopes (to include Groundwater Treatment Systems) and specifications, cost studies/estimates, procurement assistance, and remediation implementation, reporting, administration and oversight services.

Devens Sustainable Housing (Project Underway)

The Massachusetts Development Finance Agency (“MassDevelopment”) is currently developing moderately priced homes on two sites located within the Devens Regional Enterprise Zone (“Devens”). The project is expected to provide a replicable example of current and innovative sustainable building practices that are practical for Massachusetts homes. In keeping with the Governor’s stated goal of moving toward zero net energy development in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a goal of this project will be to provide a forum for development of zero net energy, or near zero net energy, moderately-priced housing.

Vicksburg Square Redevelopment – Public Information Site

MassDevelopment issued a Request for Expressions of Interest (“RFI”) to the real estate development community in September, 2009 to solicit proposals to redevelop the historic Vicksburg Square complex in Devens.
