Request for Expressions of Interest in Development
Village Hill Northampton is a master planned mixed-use, mixed-income community that is being developed by Hospital Hill Development LLC on the 126-acre site of the former Northampton State Hospital. Village Hill is permitted for approximately 300 new and renovated residential units including: apartments, town houses, and single-family homes; approximately 300,000 SF of commercial space including retail, office, R&D and light industrial space; and 80 units of assisted living. Located less than one mile from downtown Northampton and adjacent to Smith College, Village Hill has an abundance of amenities such as a multi-use trail network, parks and open space, scenic vistas, specimen trees, and proximity to the Mill River.
Hospital Hill Development LLC (“Hospital Hill”) is a Delaware limited liability company created to redevelop a portion of the site of the former Northampton State Hospital (the “Property”). Its members are Massachusetts Development Finance Agency (“MassDevelopment”), the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ largest economic development agency, and The Community Builders, Inc. a national affordable housing developer. MassDevelopment is the manager of Hospital Hill.
Hospital Hill is seeking Expressions of Interest in development of the Ford Crossing Town Houses and Condominiums at Village Hill Northampton, in Northampton, Massachusetts.
