Notch Brewing taps into a unique craft beer market by specializing in low-alcohol session beers. Using a $425,000 MassDevelopment equipment loan, the company installed a brewing system and brewing tanks in its new taproom near Salem’s Pickering Wharf. The loan allowed Notch to reduce its dependence on contract brewers by moving much of its production in-house.
