Notre Dame du Lac Assisted Living in Worcester has completed a $3.2-million renovation including updated kitchenettes, brighter lighting and new single studios with private bathrooms.

The renovations to the 20-year-old building center on the facility's 24-room Harmony Village community, which includes those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Notre Dame du Lac is part of the nonprofit Notre Dame Health Care Center at 559 Plantation St., which also includes Notre Dame Long Term Care and Rehabilitation Center, a 123-bed skilled nursing facility, and Notre Dame At Home, which provides adult hospice, pediatric hospice and palliative care services.

The work at Notre Dame du Lac, which has 108 units, is a small part of site improvements funded by the state agency MassDevelopment, including all residential units and common spaces. MassDevelopment said in December it issued two bonds to Notre Dame totaling $33.6 million.
