Town of Sandwich - Marina District Study

MassDevelopment worked with the Town of Sandwich to create a redevelopment plan for the Marina District, which sits on the Cape Cod Canal. The district includes a 22.6-acre town-owned parcel that, if developed, has the potential to facilitate more economic development activities in the surrounding area. The plan calls on the Army Corps to invest in a recently cleared parcel, with the goal of engaging residents in various placemaking activities to help create a sense of place. The Army Corps showed interest in this opportunity and is now discussing options with the Town for a joint investment in this parcel.
