Job Summary:
MassDevelopment is accepting applications for a GIS Specialist in our Real Estate division. This position will be a hybrid model, with a combination of remote work and in-office work in our Devens office.
Under the general direction of the Director of Engineering, the GIS Specialist is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and updating of the municipal Computer-aided design (CAD) files and Geographic Information System (GIS) for Devens and integrations into third-party applications (including web applications). This position will conduct exploratory and spatial analysis, provide training on GIS interfaces and workflows for non-GIS staff, develop high-quality cartographic visualizations, assist other departments with related tasks as required, and interface with local, state, and federal agencies. This position will interface and work closely with other agency divisions and departments, such as Information Technology, Community Development, Marketing, various Assessor offices, Devens Fire Department, Devens Department of Public Works & Recreation, the Massachusetts State Police, and others.
