Fall/Winter Communications Intern

MassDevelopment’s Communications Department seeks an intern to assist the department in promoting the agency through traditional media outlets, social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter), and public events. Tasks include drafting internal news stories and press releases, working on social media strategy and crafting content, compiling background information to assist with event preparation, and tracking media placements and trends related to MassDevelopment coverage.  

This part-time position (approximately 15-20 hours/week) will report to the Communications Director and Communications Specialist and will attend meetings with those individuals to develop a sense of how the agency works as a whole. Candidates for consideration will be undergraduate or graduate students studying English, journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or a similar subject. Must have strong communication and writing skills and experience with various social media platforms. Bilingual a plus.

This paid internship is currently remote.
