$6.25 Million MassDevelopment Bond Supports Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, Inc. Expansion in Worcester

MassDevelopment today announced a $6.25 million tax-exempt bond issue on behalf of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, Inc. headquartered in Boston. The health and human services provider will use bond proceeds to purchase and demolish an existing 10,000-square-foot building at 470 Pleasant Street in Worcester. The organization will construct a new 11,000-square-foot building on the site to serve as medical, office and educational training space. The project will result in the creation of 200 new jobs.

Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, Inc. works with schools, organizations, parents, elected officials and policy makers to create coalitions which encourage and promote strong families and communities. The organization’s goal is to promote prevention initiatives and support family planning, sexuality education,and freedom of choice.
