Repair of Sectional Barges at the New Bedford State Pier

Request for Proposals

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, acting through the Department of Conservation and Recreation (“DCR”) is the owner of the New Bedford State Pier in New Bedford, MA (“NBSP”). MassDevelopment is managing and overseeing the operation of the NBSP through a Memorandum of Agreement with DCR. MassDevelopment is seeking qualified respondents to submit proposals to repair ten (10) sectional barges located at the NBSP. The projected start date is no later than April 30, 2021. Proposals are due by 2PM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. An informational meeting and site inspection at the NBSP will take place at 10AM on March 15, 2021 (Massachusetts State COVID-19 guidelines apply, including wearing masks and maintaining proper social distancing). All questions must be submitted in writing by email to jessica.shahdan@mass.gov and received by 2PM on or before Friday, March 19, 2021. MassDevelopment reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all proposals. Award of a contract for the work contemplated by this RFP may be subject to the approval of DCR or MassDevelopment’s Board of Directors. MassDevelopment encourages DBE firms to apply.
