Seven proposals were received in February 2024 in relation to this solicitation and each proposer has been invited to a present their ideas within the context of a public meeting. This event will be held at the New Bedford Whaling Museum Auditorium (18 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford, MA 02740) on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 6 p.m. (EST). The agenda for the evening will consist of MassDevelopment’s brief introduction to the subject, then 5-10 minute presentations from each proposer, followed by a public comment period. The event will close at 8 p.m.

The NBSP is owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, through the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). MassDevelopment currently manages the NBSP through an agreement with DCR.
