TDI Creative Catalyst Grant
MassDevelopment’s TDI Creative Catalyst Grant program is a competitive grant program through which individuals and organizations in current and graduated Transformative Development Initiative (TDI) districts can apply for grants of between $20,000 to $40,000 to support public-facing projects that serve to enhance local arts and cultural infrastructure.
Creative communities are central to restoring the regional significance of urban neighborhoods in Gateway Cities and advancing the overall economic development outlook of these communities. Public art, placemaking, and creative retail and entrepreneurship opportunities serve to highlight the distinctive nature of Gateway Cities and help them regain their status as cultural, community, and business anchors in today’s post-industrial environment. The goal of this program is to support the implementation of locally-initiated projects that will be used to test new approaches and build a more inclusive and sustainable arts and culture network.
The deadline for applications for the initial round of funding was November 22, 2019. We expect to announce grant recipients in December 2019. To receive news and learn about future funding opportunities, please sign up for updates.
