Cassandra McKenzie is executive vice president for the Real Estate Division, which provides a full range of real estate services in communities across the Commonwealth – from planning, permitting, and engineering to acting as master developer for large site redevelopment, site disposition, and building management. Reporting to Cassandra are the Asset Management, Development & Planning, Engineering, Real Estate Projects, and Transformative Development Initiative departments.
Cassandra joined MassDevelopment in 2020. She was previously employed by Northeastern University, where she served in a variety of positions in Facilities – Design and Construction over the course of 20 years and oversaw over $1.5 billion in development for the university that transformed the campus into an urban oasis. Before that, Cassandra was employed by Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas in Boston and San Francisco as an environmental design engineer and project manager primarily focused on infrastructure development.
Cassandra holds an undergraduate degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in leadership with a concentration in project management from Northeastern University. She currently holds an appointment on the Medway economic development committee.
